Bernadette Peters
Bernadette Peters, nee lazzara was born on February 28 in 1948. She is an American performer, actress, and children's book author. Through a long career that spans more than six decades, she's starred in musical theatre, television , and film, as well as performed in her own concerts, and released recordings. She is an acclaimed Broadway actor. She has been awarded seven Tony Awards nominations (plus an honorary award), as well as nine Drama Desk Award nominations. Grammy Awards were won for four of her Broadway parts.
Peters is widely regarded as the most well-known interpreter of the works by Stephen Sondheim. Her roles on Broadway include Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (84), Song and Dance (1985), Into the Woods with George (87), The Goodbye Girl(93), Annie Get Your Gun 1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2009), Follies (2011), as well as Hello, Dolly (2018).
